'Little giant' Albis tops second baseman's home run list with 'low-cost, high-efficiency armor'

Another "little giant" with one of the best team-friendly contracts in the major leagues is flying: Aji Alvis (26, Atlanta Braves).

Through 72 games of the season through Sept. 19, Albies was hitting .269 with 17 home runs, 52 RBIs, 36 runs scored, a .322 OPS and an .831 slugging percentage.

Most notably, Albies went 3-for-4 with a game-winning 해외안전놀이터 추천 three-run homer in the fourth inning against the Colorado Rockies on April 19, helping the team to a six-game winning streak.

In his first 16 games of the month, Alvis is batting .333 with six home runs, 16 RBIs, 13 runs scored, 20 runs batted in, a .414 slugging percentage and a 1.080 OPS.

Albies didn't fare much better in April and May, posting an OPS of 0.792 and 0.729, but this month he's been at his best beyond the All-Star level.

That's good for first in home runs and third in OPS among second basemen in the majors. On offense, Albies is on pace for career highs. He's on pace to hit 30 home runs in the 2021 season.

What's even more surprising is his contract. Atlanta has him under contract through the 2027 season. The seven-year, $35 million deal was agreed to in 2019.

It's currently the most club-friendly contract of any player in Major League Baseball. Albies is making just $7 million this season. 토토사이트

With one of the most club-friendly contracts in the majors, it will be interesting to see if Albies can continue to put up career-high numbers and help the team win the World Series.
